How do I log a ride?
You can log rides either from the form on the Welcome page after you have logged in, or by clicking on the 'Log New Ride'
button from the menu on the left once you are logged in. The only compulsory fields are date, distance and duration, but you
are able to log as much other information about the ride as you want.
How can I see a list of my rides?
Go to the 'Diary' page (available on the left hand menu after logging in). From there you can customise the view using by pressing
the button at the top of the table and then specifying the date range for the rides you wish to view and what information to display.
How can I edit a ride?
Go to the 'Diary' page and locate the ride you wish to edit. Click the 'View' button to the left of that ride, and in the Ride Details
section that now appears above the diary table, press the 'Edit' button.
How can I record my resting heart rate on a daily basis?
First of all you need to have the 'Use Diary Features' property in your profile set to 'Yes' so that you can see the relevant interface. You
can change this by going to 'Edit Profile'. Thereafter the form for logging your resting heart rate, weight and sleep will appear on the Welcome page
alongside the 'Log Ride' form. The information that you record will be available to view in your Diary page (see above).
How can I change the distance unit that I use to record my rides?
To change your units of measurement for distance, altitude, temperature, wind speed and weight, go to the 'Edit Profile' page using the link on the left menu
once you are logged into MyCycling.
How can I record detailed information about my routes?
Go to the 'My Routes' page from the left-hand menu and from there you can either create a new route or select an existing one. Use the buttons at the top of
the selected route to edit, update and delete routes, and follow the Map Instructions to create a route overlay on the map.
How can I let other people view my routes?
From 'My Routes', select and then edit the route that you wish to share and then set the 'Shared Route' property to 'Yes'. You will then have to make sure
that the location, distance and difficulty are entered. Please be as helpful as possible with your locations, preferably specifying the county or region
(e.g. Chilterns, Cotswolds etc.).
How can I log a session that I have done on a turbo trainer?
When logging or editing a ride, select 'Turbo Trainer' from the 'Terrain' field. The Route option will then change to 'Turbo Session', enabling you to create
a new named session, or select from those that you have set up already.
